Down To The
Wire
Only five shopping days left until
Christmas! It's down to the wire.
Tired of trekking to the mall, fighting the
crowds, burning too much gas? Still procrastinating on
that gift for a teenage niece or nephew? Don't know what
to buy your Secret Pal?
How about
an Amazon
Gift Card. You'll save time, money, gas and your
sanity. There's something for everyone at Amazon at very
reasonable prices, so you don't have to worry about a gift
that won't be appreciated; they'll be choosing what THEY
want. Teens will love Amazon's music downloads. Adults will
love the books and vast product selections of every
sort.
An
Amazon
Gift Card can be delivered by email or snail
mail with or without an e- card. Emailing will assure
that it will be there on time. (It's probably too late for
snail mail to get to its destination by
Christmas.)
A great family
gift is a subscription to Netflix. Choose
plans from one to twelve months. It's quick; it's easy. You
can deliver the gift subscription by printing it out and
handing it over in person or by emailing it. Either way, it
gets to the recipient on time.
Another great
family gift is the 2008
Entertainment Book. There's something in it for every age.
Unfortunately, unless you order rush delivery by 12/19, ti
won't arrive in time for Christmas. If, however, you won't
be celebrating the big day until a later date, it's a gift
worth considering.

Start Saving For Next
Year
Today is a good day to sit down and take
stock of Christmas past in order to prepare for Christmas
future.
1. What will you do next year that
you did this year? Send cards? Buy them now at huge
discounts along with gift wrap, decorations,
etc.
2. Really give your gift list
some serious thought. Are there things you can buy
at substantial savings in the next 30 days that you can
gift next year? Are there gifts you received this year
that you neither want nor need? Can you return them in
exchange for a gift you might want to give next year? Can
you re-gift them? (Of course, you have to keep this a
secret from the give.) A little tack, maybe. A money
saver, definitely.
3. Set a date on which you want all
your holiday projects to be completed. Don't forget
to plan accordingly.
4.
Allocate a Christmas budget for next year for each gift,
travel, food, entertainment, decorations, etc.
Begin saving now for next
year.

New Year
Resolutions
It's been a long, thought-provoking year.
The stock market's instability has been especially
disturbing. The bursting of the housing bubble,
although anticipated, has wreaked havoc on millions.
Hundred-dollar-a-barrel oil prices have finally filtered
through to higher food, gas and heating prices. In short,
it's harder than ever to save money. Yet, it's more
important than ever to do so. Thus, we at
101WaysToSaveMoney.com make the following New Year
resolutions:
We resolve to keep up the
fight against rampant consumerism.
We resolve to do our part to
promote a saving society.
We resolve to be a guiding
light toward these ends with sound information and advice to
help you reach your resolve to save money.
